This is my first poem of the 2016 Holiday Seasons and it's for the children. Not to worry, I have a few planned for the pets, parents, and people with the heart of children.
Christmas Night & Holiday Lights
It is getting close to Christmas,
And the Holidays will be full of cheer.
The stores are all lit up and bright,
So parents can shop for gifts at night.
Delightful presents for friends and family,
Are packaged and waiting to fill stockings hanging.
Bringing treats to everyone in the house,
With fun and love to share by candlelight.
Little children's eyes are bright and shiny,
Wishing on stars and watching the skies,
Keeping an eye out,
For signs of Santa Claus flying by.
Not rain or hail
Nor snow or sleet,
Will slow down those reindeer,
On their mission Christmas night.
If you blink too often,
Or fall asleep,
You may miss the reindeer,
Flying over your house Christmas night.
But have no fear,
If you miss this sight,
They'll not miss your home,
On Christmas Night.
